Several college students and faculty from the department traveled to San Antonio, Texas to attend the annual SPE-ATCE conference which was held on October 9-11th.
Grand Opening of labs in the Collaborative Energy Complex
This has been a busy and exciting time for us. Not only did we’ve the IAC Meeting final week but we also held the Grand Opening of our labs in the brand new Collaborative Vitality Complicated constructing! Williston Basin SPE Business Panel Session held on campus

The Division of Petroleum Engineering held the Spring 2017 Industry Advisory Council (IAC) Assembly on February 23-24, 2017. In addition to the IAC meeting, the council was invited to attend the IAC banquet and had the opportunity to interact with current college students in the program. The Petroleum Engineering Education and Coaching Workshop was held on the afternoon of February 24th and the group had the chance to brainstorm and plan for future methods to prepare the next generations of power consultants.

Youth Science & Engineering Camp

5th – 8th grade college students visited UND campus and had the chance to discover different areas of engineering on July twenty sixth, 2016. Distance Engineering Diploma Program (DEDP) Petroleum Labs
Approximately 20 college students were enrolled within the 2016 summer season labs. The labs are provided every summer for a two-week interval on-campus. Sophomore to senior distance students from around the globe come collectively on-campus to finish the consolidated laboratory courses. Each Labs I and II are required courses in the petroleum engineering curriculum. With small class sizes, the labs are palms-on and faculty are able to introduce the students to different lab gear. Williston Basin Petroleum Conference

The Division of Petroleum Engineering at UND had a booth at the 2016 Annual Williston Basin Petroleum Convention in Bismarck, ND. The brand new graduate level and certificate programs had been showcased on the event. Industry Advisory Council Meeting

The UND Petroleum Engineering Trade Advisory Council (IAC) members have been on campus May 5-sixth to meet with the division’s college, employees and college students. On March 17th, 2016, 10 college students from the University of North Dakota’s Petroleum Engineering Program had the chance to go to Hess of their Houston, TX workplace.
